The Significance of Thermography on Diagnosis of Diabetic foot disorder and Measurement of the normal values in Korea

Abstract
|
|
|
More cases of diabetic foot disorder, a sequale of late-stage diabetes, are reported in Korea as the number of diabetics increases. diabetic foot disorders are roughly divided into two categories : angiopathy resulting from circulatory
dysfunction
and
neuropathy. There are various methods to diagnose the disease, one of which is to take the skin temperature of patient's feet. The drawback of this method, however, is that apart from "feeling cold or hot", there is no reliable and objective
statistics
of normal foot temperature.
